Overview

Digi-Touch™ improves the functionality of Lumisys panels and Qwik-Kits by providing the capability of networking digital switches over a single twisted pair of wires. This twisted pair network is the Lumisys Digi-Touch Network.

The idea is that we can put more devices on the digital subnet and serve them with a higher throughput all while maintaining soft configurability as an integral part of the Building Automation System. With Digi-Touch on an Lx5 platform, installers, energy managers and users experience a dramatic improvement over standard switching and occupancy methods.

Eliminate Low Voltage Home-Runs

Significantly less wire needs to be run and maintained when utilizing a Digi-Touch Network as compared to a traditional wiring process; thereby reducing installation costs by eliminating the need for multiple low voltage and line voltage home run wiring.

Digi-Touch Digital Switches

• Provide pushbutton for on and off control of 2 lighting groups
• Can be one of many switches controlling the same lighting group.
• Mount in standard single or multiple gang wall switch box.
• Fit industry standard Decora® opening.
• Contain an integral bi-color LED that illuminates red when the associated lighting group is on and green when off.
• Provide a removable clear cap on the pushbutton for placement of a descriptor to identify the area controlled.
• A maximum of 30 uniquely addressable Digital Switches can be connected on a Digi-Touch Network (actual number may vary depending on the network wire gauge and voltage drop)
• Dip switch sets the lighting group it controls.
• Have removable terminal blocks to simplify installation.
